Washing

Merino’s natural qualities mean less washing is needed compared to synthetic fibers. For a quick refresh, air it out for an hour. When washing is necessary, here’s how to care for your merino:

Machine Wash (Max 40°C):

  1. Wash sweaters or wool accessories separately, inside out, and in a washing bag.
  2. Use mild wool detergent and, if desired, fabric softener for extra softness.
  3. Choose the wool program on your washing machine.
  4. Dry flat, reshaping as needed, and avoid stretching or hanging the sleeves.

Hand Wash:

  1. Soak in lukewarm water (Max 40°C) with mild wool detergent in a bathtub or large container.
  2. Gently move the garment, avoiding rubbing.
  3. Rinse thoroughly, then gently squeeze out excess water without twisting.
  4. Reshape and roll in a towel for 30 minutes, then lay flat to dry.

Finishing:

  1. Steam iron on the wool setting (Max 148°C), ensuring steam is activated. Iron lightly and let cool before folding.
